History and Purpose:

Dr. Richard Carrott's generosity, both inside and outside the classroom, changed the lives of many History of Art students at UCR. The Richard G. Carrott Endowed Memorial Student Support Fund in Art History is a perpetual testament to the impact he had on his students as a gifted professor and mentor. The Fund provides travel awards for graduate and undergraduate History of Art students to visit primary works of art. From time to time at the discretion of a selection committee chosen by the Chair of the History of Art Department, this award may also be used for student books and fees.

Selection and Guidelines:

This fund will benefit graduate and undergraduate Art History students as a travel award to visit primary works of art, archives and other research resources. From time to time, this fund may also support library acquirsitions and/or student books and fees based on the discretion of the faculty selection committee chosen by the Chair of the History of Art Department.
