Fund: Barbara Anderson Endowed Scholarship Fund Department: Undergrad Student Financial Aid D02089 Purpose: Undergraduate Student Support Background: Barbara Anderson is a native of Southern California particularly the San DIego Area. Barbara attended San Diego State University for her undergraduate studies where she also worked for the library as a student employee. She retired from the San Bernardino County Library, and she was the first person of color to hold an administrative position within the San Bernardino County Library system. Over the years Barbara has provided various scholarships to college students in need. She is passionate about giving financial support to transfer students and students with junior standing to motivate them to complete their undergraduate students. Although Barbara never received any financial assistance during her undergraduate studies, she realizes that monetary support can be the deciding factor for a student to graduate from college. Fund Purpose: This fund shall be used to provide support in the Liberal Studies program. Criteria and Selection Process: The Office of Financial Aid shall be responsible for administering this fund and selecting the recipients. Student must be enrolled in the Liberal Studies Program. Student must be a transfer student with junior standing. Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Students can receive this scholarship more than once. In years when there is no candidate who meets the criteria, awards will be held until the following year.
