Fund:

RACK Scholarship Endowed Fund

Department:

Undergrad Student Financial Aid D02089

Purpose:

Undergraduate Student Support

Background:
Christine Keller graduated from UCR in 1974 with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Urban Studies. Christine retired from ADP, a payroll company, where she was a Senior Business Analyst. She also is a dog lover and ran a poodle rescue group in Northern California.

In 1974. Christine married Raymond Keller, a UCR alum who graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics and Urban Studies. Raymond was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cooking.

After his passing in 2008, Christine was motivated to make monthly contributions to UCR in Raymond's honor. The RACK (Raymond and Christine Keller) Scholarship serves as a legacy gift for both Christine and Raymond, and allows them to support their alma mater and its students for years to come. Recognizing the rising cost of higher education, Christine was motivated to make this gift in support of scholarships, feeling that "it would be something Raymond would want her to do."
