Fund: Timothy R. Greenleaf Endowed Business Scholarship Fund Department: BUS Infrast Admin Prgm Srv Sup D01039 Purpose: Graduate Student Support Background: Timothy R. Greenleaf, a UCR alumnus, is a successful venture capital and private equity investor. He has served on the board of directors of public companies, regulated banks, privately held companies, startups and non-profits. He was the co-founder of Green Dot Corp (NYSE: GDOT) the largest issuer of prepaid VISA and MasterCard. An avid supporter of scouting, he has held leadership positions with the Greater Los Angeles Area Council of the Boy Scouts of American, including President and Chairman of the Board. The University of California, Riverside is grateful to Mr. Greenleaf for his service on the UCR Foundation Board of Trustees and as an Executive Fellow in the School of Business. Purpose and Use of Fund: The award shall be used to provide scholarships to students enrolled in the School of Business, A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management (AGSM) graduate programs. Criteria and Selection Process: The Timothy R. Greenleaf Endowed Business Scholarship will be utilized to identify, recruit, and retain the best and brightest local students from the Inland Southern California area to AGSM and to ensure financial need does not hinder the academic and professional development of these students. Further, the fund is to be used to recognize excellence in academic merit, leadership ability, and community engagement. Scholarships will be awarded annually to local students enrolled in AGSM. Recipient(s) shall be selected by a faculty committee appointed by the Dean of the School of Business. The donor or donor's designee may serve as an advisor, non-voting member of the committee and will not participate in the selection process.
