Fund: Won and Insook Yoo Endowed Scholarship Fund Department: BCOE Dean's Office Dept D01002 Purpose: Undergraduate Student Support History and Purpose: Won Sang Yoo, a Trustee of the UC Riverside Foundation, and his wife, Insook, established the Won and Insook Yoo Endowed Scholarship in May 1991. It provides annual scholarship support for up to four years to a UCR student with financial need from the Temecula/Murrieta area that is majoring in science or engineering. Student recipients must demonstrate service to their community and have outstanding academic records in high school and at UCR. Selection and Guidelines: Recipient determined on the basis of outstanding academic and service record in high school. Financial need is also a criterion. Selection is made by Financial Aid Office. Scholarship can be renewed if recipient maintains an academic record in good standing, but not to exceed a four-year period. Once the recipient graduates, another student is eligible for the process. Continuing UCR students may apply between January 1st to March 2nd annually, using the online Continuing Student Application.
