History and Purpose:

Started in August 1987, before Engineering at UCR became a College, the Krieger & Stewart Endowed Engineering Scholarship Fund provides support for students in the Environmental Engineering program in the Bourns College of Engineering at UCR. Preference is given to students with interest in water resources (supply, quality, use, reuse) engineering. In 1996 the Krieger & Stewart Fund became an endowment.

Selection and Guidelines:

Selection of recipients by Chair of the Environmental Engineering program and approved by a representative of the donor. Selection based on academic achievement and career potential in the water resources engineering profession, character, and financial need.
