Purpose:

Undergraduate Student Support

Fund Purpose: This Fund shall be used to provide scholarship assistance in support of undergraduate students enrolled in the School of Business with a concentration in operations & supply chain management program.

BACKGROUND
Founded in 1969, DHL is the world’s leading logistics company. Ranked as the No. 1 "World’s Best Workplaces" by Fortune Magazine in 2021, DHL has over 400,000 employees in over 220 countries and territories. Locally, DHL Supply Chain has major operations in Southern California. The DHL Supply Chain Future Leaders Fund will support UCR students enrolled in the School of Business with a concentration in operations and supply chain management. By establishing the Fund, DHL Supply Chain will make an impact on the lives of students in the region and grow the next generation of industry professionals.

Criteria and Selection Process
- Enrolled in the School of Business with a concentration in operations and supply chain management
-Third year undergraduate student in good academic standing
-Preference for students with demonstrated leadership on campus (For example: ambassador program, orientation leaders, officer in student organization, etc.)
-Preference for students with employment experience and currently working, at least part-time, in any industry
-Demonstrated financial need

Scholarships will be awarded annually to two current undergraduate students enrolled in the School of Business who demonstrate financial need and academic achievement. Each student will receive up to a $2,500 award; one student will be awarded in fall quarter and the other awarded in inter/spring quarter.

Recipients shall be selected by a faculty committee appointed by the Dean of the School of Business. In years when there are no candidates who meet the criteria, awards will be held until the following year.
