Purpose:

Graduate Student Support

Fund Purpose: This fund shall be used to provide a fellowship to a graduate student pursuing a PhD related to Jain studies at UC Riverside.

Background:
The Wadher Family Foundation is a private Charitable foundation in Corona, California. Mr. Mahesh Wadher is one of several chair-establishing donors for the Shrimad Rajchandra Endowed Chair in Jain Studies at UCR. The Jain Studies Chair at UCR si the first to bestow Shrimad Rajchandra's name as a dedication outside India. Mr. Wadher is a member of the Jain Center of Southern California and has served on its board of directors and as a member of its executive committee. He is founder and CEO of American Tex-Chem Corporation and founder, Chairman, president and CEO of Shivshakti Industries Inc, and Krupalu LLC.

General Purpose:
This Fund shall be used to provide a fellowship to a graduate student pursuing a PhD related to Jain studies at UC Riverside.

Criteria and Selection:
The current Shrimad Rajchandra Endowed Chair in Jain Studies will select the fellowship recipient(s) based on financial need and interest in Jain studies.

In years when there is no candidate who meets the criteria, awards will be held until the following year.
