Fund: Lynn & Sally Gref Regent's Scholarship in Science Department: CNAS Scholarships:Gifts:Endow D01335 Purpose: Undergraduate Student Support History and Purpose: Dr. Lynn and Sally Gref, members of the UCR family created the fund, the Lynn and Sally Gref Regent's Scholarship in Science. This fund will provide much-needed scholarship assistance for UCR students. Lynn received his B.S., M.A. and Ph.D. in Mathematics from UCR. He has taught for many years, including several classes at UCR, and he works for JPL and NASA in Pasadena. Sally is a native of Battle Creek, Mich., and is a graduate of English and Languages from Michigan State University. Lynn and Sally are members of UCRs Watkins Society. Selection and Guidelines: These are Merit Scholarships for incoming freshman students in CNAS with high academic performance and promise, and that the UCR Financial Aid Office will assign our scholarship to a recipient selected by the Faculty Committee on Scholarships & Honors. Further, the Gref Scholar will continue to receive our Regent's Scholarship through his/her senior year as long as he/she is in good academic standing. If possible, it is preferred that these scholarships be awarded to students planning to pursue a degree in Physics and Astronomy and/or Mathematics.
