History and Purpose:

The Albert Staats Award in Physics supports students majoring in the field of Physics. The award typically recognizes students in experimental physics who design and machine their own apparatus.

The Albert Staats Award was established to recognize physics majors who show exceptional skills in designing and building physics apparatus for their research or for new demonstrations. Awards will be given when merited.

Selection and Guidelines:

To provide support for the Albert Staats Award to Physics majors who show exceptional skills in designing and building Physics apparatus for their research and for new demonstrations. Award to be given when merited.
